Symposium: Finland, Galicia, Wales. The challenges of small cinemas in minoritized languages.
The consideration of nations as communicative spaces, and of cinema in original version as an unequivocal tool for the construction of European cultural diversity, serve as a starting point for this symposium in which the debate revolves around the barriers of minoritized cinemas to become visible. At the same time, diversity policies are addressed not only as recognition but as actions that guarantee the expression and dissemination of works.
The symposium is part of the dissemination activities of the project of the National Plan of R+D+i “Towards the European Digital Space. The role of small cinemas in original version” (ref CSO2012-35784, Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness) developed by the Audiovisual Studies Research Group of the University of Santiago de Compostela under the direction of Professor Margarita Ledo Andión.
