The project on the post-war Spanish Cinema will collaborate in Lyon in a scientific conference on Wenceslao Fernández Flórez
October 10 will be held in Lyon the Congress Jornada Wenceslao Fernández Flórez: Cine y literatura linked to the Research Project Towards a reconsideration of post-war culture: analysis of the Modes of Representation in Spanish cinema (1939-1962) from Wenceslao Fernández Flórez’s mark (CSO2012-34648, Plan Nacional de I+D+i 2013-2015, Mineco – Gobierno de España).
It’s a scientific meeting in which relevant researchers (some of them members of the Project Team) will reflect the decisive influence of the work of Wenceslao Fernández Flórez in Spanish cinema.
The Congress will be organized by the University of Santiago de Compostela (Grupo Estudos Audiovisuais), the University of Lyon, the GRIMH group and the Instituto Cervantes of Lyon, and is part of the events commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the death of the Galician writer.
In addition, the previous day will be screened at Instituto Cervantes the film El destino se disculpa (1945) directed by José Luis Sáenz de Heredia from a work of Wenceslao Fernández Flórez.
