20/03/2017

For the second-to-last sesion of «The other look: Cinema and women» we have «VISIÓNS», a colaborative film directed by Xisela Franco and produced by Beli Martínez. An iniciative which goes from investigation and theory to the practice of the movie production, in which women from the Pontevedra’s province get together in the movie with the purpose of giving and example of what can be made to promote women discourses. In this ocassion, we will have Andrea Zapata, director of one of the ten shortfilms that make up the movie.

“Because if language builds up the world, and audiovisual is a language that we nowadays now essencial, women have to define a good part of their history. Reality is that without women creators the audiovisual imaginary characteristic of women is amputed, silenced, wishing to pronunce to get her voice to the cinema and create a more equal society”

The movie scheduled for Tuesday 21nd at 18:00 at Visionado 3 is a work where art and cinema group and melt themselves, giving as a result a intimate and polyhedric film.
