Cine Diversidad y Redes.Pequeñas cinematografías, políticas de la diversidad y nuevos modos de consumo cultural

This book has been written in the framework of the research “Cinema, Diversity and Networks” developed by the Grupo de Estudos Audiovisuais (GI 1786) of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela with the collaboration of the Instituto Universitario Nacional del Arte de Argentina, the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, the Instituto Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de la República de Uruguay, the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Río Grande do Sul, the Museo de la Emigración Gallega in Argentina and the Patronato da Cultura Galega de Uruguay . The research project, with reference CSO2009-13702, is financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of the Government of Spain through the National R + D + i Plan (2008-2011). “Cinema, Diversity and Networks”, aims to know and analyze the reception of Galician film products from certain technological variables that affect the new modes of circulation of film and audiovisual production in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, countries with Galician emigrant communities that are signified by their status as citizens with the right to vote in Galicia, which constitute targets or prospective objectives of interest. It contributes, therefore, to satisfy a double need: one of an economic and industrial nature, contributing to the opening of new markets and distribution models based on technological innovation, and a second, of a social nature, aimed at the determination of those coders that facilitate the acceptance of cinematographic contents destined to communities that, although geographically dispersed, are defined by identity elements such as language.
