
The GEA is organising an exhibition of photojournalism by the Ollo Collective
The exhibition can now be visited in the corridor of the Faculty of Communication Sciences.
Professors María Soliña Barreiro and Jennifer Novoa, from the Audiovisual Studies Group, organised with the Ollo Collective a photographic exhibition currently on exhibition in the main corridor of the Faculty of Communication Sciences.
Ollo is a multidisciplinary photographic collective dedicated to the creation, distribution, dissemination and diffusion of stories of social relevance through the image, comprising: Vanessa Casteleiro, Brais Lorenzo, Paula Quiroga, Óscar Corral, Adra Pallón, Sara García, Agostiño Iglesias e Daniel Lázare.
On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition, the members of the group held a meeting with the students in the Photojournalism classroom accompanied by Mª Soliña Barreiro and José Antonio Cascudo, the teachers responsible for the areas of photography.
The Audiovisual Studies Group is also organising the Seminar “The construction of a contemporary photographic gaze from Galicia” which will take place on Thursday 22 June in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Communication Sciences and will include the participation of Anna Turbau, Xosé Suárez Canal, Olivia Marqués da Silva, Delmi Álvarez, Carla Andrade and the Ollo Collective.
Exhibition, seminar and summer course entitled “New looks at the Galician coast: documentary photography workshop with the Ollo Collective” to be held on 30 June and 1 July in the Auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura in Porto de Son, are included in “FX: Eyes to see” the 1st Meeting about the contemporary photographic medium in Galicia.

The film Morlaix will be screened in the auditorium of the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the University of Santiago de Compostela on Tuesday, February 4, at 11 am.
