26/11/2013

Between Thursday and Saturday of this week will be held in Bilbao the 14th International Congress of AEHC, with the title “De Cimientos y Contrafuertes. El papel de los géneros en el Cine Español”.
As we had already announced last month, the Congress will host a broad representation of studies related to the Research Project “Towards a reconsideration of postwar culture: analysis of the Modes of Representation in Spanish cinema (1939-1962) from Wenceslao Fernández Flórez’s mark”. Thus, Thursday 28th the researchers Alejandro Montiel Mues (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia), Héctor Paz Otero (Universidad de Santiago de Compostela) and Fernando Gómez Beceiro (Universidad de Santiago de Compostela) will take part in the first scientific session with three papers that expose various aspects analysed from the Research Project. This session will also include the summary of the communication of Sonia García López (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid). On the other hand, Friday 29 will be the turn of the Principal Investigator, José Luis Castro de Paz, to expose the main keys of the research. Finally, Saturday 30 will present his lecture Imanol Zumalde (Universidad del País Vasco).
Al apart from the presence of these research issues, much of the team members will be involved in the event, highlighting the involvement of the Professor of the Universidad del País Vasco Santos Zunzunegui, as Honorary President of the Congress.
