Margarita Ledo takes part in AAAG’s ‘Escaramuzas Artísticas’

The debate session focuses on the documentary genre and the legacy of Carlos Velo

The Association of Actors and Actresses of Galicia (AAAG) celebrates next Wednesday, September 26 at 8.00 pm a new session of its ‘Escaramuzas Artísticas’, a series of monthly debate-meetings in which renowned voices specialized in the audiovisual and audiovisual sectors of the scene will exchange their points of view about different topics that reach the professionals of these disciplines. The ‘artistic skirmishes’, which are sponsored by the Galician Agency of Cultural Industries (Agadic), seek to go beyond the traditional talks, breaking the usual distances of the round tables and bringing a relaxed and participatory atmosphere. These meetings are aimed at professionals of the sector as well as the general public. This third session, the first after the summer break, will be held at 8:00 pm at the Lasso-Café of the Auditorio de Galicia in Santiago (Avenida Burgo de las Nación, n / n) and will focus on the documentary genre under the title ‘Documentary cinema in Galicia: The legacy of Carlos Verlo’. It will be moderated by journalist Montse Dopico and will include Margarita Contento, Pela del Álamo and Jaione Camborda.

PARTICIPANTS

Margarita Ledo Andión. Journalist, writer, filmmaker, professor at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the University of Santiago and member of the Real Academia Galega. As a filmmaker, she signed documentary titles such as Santa Liberdade (2004) or Liste, pronunciado Líster (2007), and also participated in the collective piece Hai que botalos (2005). In 2012 he premiered his fiction feature A cicatriz branca. Pela del Álamo is a director, cultural manager and director since 2013 of the Curtocircuito- Festival Internacional de Cine de Santiago de Compostela,  which will celebrate its 15th  edition between September 29 and October 7. In his audiovisual work, he highlights his documentary N-VI, which takes a look at the margins of the historic road between Madrid and Galicia, its landscapes, both natural and human, as well as the alterations suffered after the opening of the highway. For her part, Jaione Camborda is a director, scriptwriter and producer. In her trajectory in the audio-visual stand out productions like Rapa das bestas (2017), Arima (2017), Prueba de agilidad or Nimbos. As a screenwriter, he also participated in works such as Ons or Los Fenómenos. In the field of artistic direction, Camborda cultivated this field in pieces such as Las Altas Presiones, Encallados or O Ouro do Tempo.
