Margarita Ledo Andión takes part in the seminar “Memoria democrática audiovisual” at the Instituto Cervantes in Paris
"Santa Liberdade" will be screened this Friday and there will be a talk with the director
The University Institute of Spanish Cinema of the Carlos III University of Madrid (IUCE-UC3M) is holding a two-day seminar entitled “Audiovisual democratic memory. Extraterritoriality and resistance”. It will take place at the Cervantes Institute in Paris on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 May. The aim is to invite reflection on the signs of political and gender repression during Franco’s dictatorship, as well as the uprooting of the Spanish exile, from the cinematographic and audiovisual point of view.
This Friday, at 10.15am, the film “Santa Liberdade” by Margarita Ledo Andión will be screened. Afterwards, there will be a discussion with the director, who will be accompanied by Marianne Bloch Robin, professor at the Sorbonne Université – CRIMIC (Centre de Recherches Interdisciplinaires sur les Mondes Ibériques Contemporains).
