Viana Film Meetings

The Viana Film Meetings, organized by the non-profit organization AO NORTE in collaboration with Viana do Castelo Municipal Council offers a unique experience in Portugal, both locally and nationwide. Since 2001, the event has been providing a platform to share, learn and discuss cinema, especially devoted to bringing together film students, film clubs from Portugal and Galicia (Spain) and the audience, stimulating a fruitful exchange with professional filmmakers, producers, and other artists.

Its XIX edition will be held in Viana do Castelo , from 7th-12th May.

The Film Meetings offers a room to screen, distribute and discuss Cinema, encouraging a close contact of emergent filmmakers and film students with a wide variety of audiences. The encounter also aims to inspire creative and artistic works in the field of moving images, approaching mainly ways of portraying the surrounding world.
