Filmes do Homem, the Melgaço International Documentary Festival, opens its registration period for proposals

FILMES DO HOMEM, the Melgaço International Documentary Festival, has opened its registration period for proposals for its 2015 edition. The general topic is migrations: “Films should manifest the author’s point of view on aspects related to social, individual, cultural or identity issues, caused by changes of country, region or address.”

The Festival’s programming will be selected between the registered movies and completed with guest films. Besides, the Jean Loup Passek Award will be chosen between the submitted films. The deadline is February 28th, and inscriptions can be done in this link. The regulation is also available online. The Grupo de Estudos Audiovisuais is a collaborator of this iniciative, and Margarita Ledo Andión, coordinator of the group, will give a lecture on Documentary Image within Filmes do Homem. The event will take place from august 4th to august 9th.
