The Principal Investigator of the Research Project Towards a reconsideration of postwar culture: analysis of the Modes of Representation in Spanish cinema (1939-1962) from Wenceslao Fernández Flórez’s mark, (CSO2012-34648. Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad. Gobierno de España. Plan Nacional de I+D+i 2013-2015), José Luis Castro de Paz, has been elected new President of Fundación Wenceslao Fernández Flórez. The Professor of Communication Sciences and member of the Group Estudos Audiovisuais takes over from the former President and founder Antonio Montero Carro.
The institution had already collaborated with the Project in the organization of the International Symposium Costumismo, humor, melancolía, reflexividade: impronta de Wenceslao Fernández Flórez no cinema español, but the relationship will now be more strengthened since also other three members of the team will be part of the Foundation: Xosé María Dobarro Paz, José María Folgar de la Calle and Héctor Paz Otero.
The news has a great interest for the Project by the cultural impact that will get the research, as well as the possibility of undertaking future events from intimate collaboration between the Group Estudos Audiovisuais and Fundación Wenceslao Fernández Flórez.
