The Primeiro Olhar Award is the competitive section of the film festival Encontros de Cinema de Viana do Castelo , which is in its XVI edition. The event aims to promote the documentary and to award the best documentary made by students of cinema, audiovisual and communication schools, and also by participants in courses on documentary promoted by other entities of Portugal , Galicia, Brazil and other Portuguese-speaking countries .
The deadline for submitting proposals is open until 31 March. Rules for registration are available on the festival website.
