VIII LUSOCOM Congress

The VIII LUSOCOM Congress. Comunicação, Espaço Global and Lusofonia, was held in the city of Lisbon and was chaired by the teacher Margarita Ledo Andión, coordinator of the Audiovisual Studies Research Group. The event was held at the School of Communication, Arts and Information Technologies of the Lusófona University, which simultaneously hosted the 6th SOPCOM Congress, the 8th LUSOCOM Congress and the 4th IBÉRICO Congress. The realization of these three events in the same space allowed to enhance the synergies between Portuguese and Iberian researchers. Some of the main objectives were to enhance cooperation in research and allow joint reflection on the future of communication sciences in an environment marked by information technologies and localized and globalized manifestations of society in the network.
