XII edition of the World Radio Day at the Faculty of Communication Sciences

The Executive Board of UNESCO recommended at the General Conference in 2011 that 13 February be proclaimed World Radio Day, in response to a proposal by the Spanish Delegation to the organisation.

Given that the association A.C.P Ponte…nas ondas! has been working in the world of radio, in its school aspect, since 1995, we join this anniversary and propose that schools celebrate this date in order to spread the model of Ponte…nas ondas! recognised by UNESCO: education, communication and heritage.

Hundreds of children will travel, some to the radio studios set up for this purpose in the Rectorate Building of the University of Vigo and in the Faculty of Communication Sciences in Compostela and others to professional radio stations such as Radio Tui, Radio Allariz, Radio As Nogais, Radio Burela or Radio Afifense in Portugal.
