
The Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea has announced the second edition of the CGAC Prize of Research and Essay on Contemporary Art, created last year in order to promote the production of though in this field in Galician language. The artist Rosendo Cid, with A arte está feita dunha materia incerta e fragmentaria, was awarded the inaugural edition.
Unpublished texts written in Galician are admitted into contest, about aspects of contemporary art, preferentially from an educational point of view. The extension of the works will be between 150.000 and 450.000 characters, spaces included.
The call is open until October 15th of 2019. The winner essay will be awarded with 3.000 euros, in addition to the publication as a book in one of the collections that conform the editorial lines of the center, according to the subject of the work.
