Luis Seoane e os Media. A documentación xornalística como fonte de información para o estudio da recepción da imaxe

The Thesis studies the creative and journalistic work of Luis Seoane, from 1929 to 1979. The issues written about him are taken as a source of information in the press of seven American countries and five European countries, and the opinions expressed by the artist through his work were taken into account.

The systemic theory of the school of Tel Aviv, the reception of the school of Constance (Jauss e Link) and that of Pierre Bordieu is followed.

In total, a content analysis of 966 texts is carried out.

Among the objectives of the Thesis is to find out what image the author’s media transmits, if through them they can determine the evolutionary stages, verify the trajectory followed to achieve the canonization, and know if the media themselves influenced his work. All this was investigated considering the production of Seoane within the social and communicative-relational system of the time.
